Navatman is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)3 status meant to further the South Asian performing arts. Navatman has several goals, and sub goals, and at the forefront is the goal of bringing Indian arts into the mainstream. In this globalizing world, calling "South Asian arts" South Asian before art is a misnomer. It is, in simplest terms, art. No different than ballet or modern dance or the symphony, Navatman closes these gaps in understanding by producing large scale events to educate and bring accessibility. Navatman furthermore chooses to push the art form itself, not just concentrating on bringing the traditional art form to the mainstream but pushing the established concepts and ideas to another level altogether. Lastly, Navatman seeks to bring together a collective of artists that fosters support for one another and creates change within the community. To do this, Navatman has separated off into 3 separate branches:

Navatman Events
Navatman will host events specifically designed to increase interest in the South Asian arts, as well as produce shows that are accessible and easy to understand for newcomers while maintaining diversity and complexity for others.

Navatman Dance
What came before tradition? There was only innovation...These ideas propel the dance company, which brings boundary pushing productions to the stage, constantly challenging both old and new ideas of dance.

Navatman Conservatory

Navatman also seeks to create a pre-professional school for the arts, a studio where quality reigns, not just a school, but a conservatory, not simply to teach but to instill, not only a place to dance but one that strives for the perfection of dance.
