Happy New Year! We are so excited with the new classes we have added and the new events we are planning for 2012. Can't wait for a great year full of shows!
Brunch Performance ~ Sunday, February 5th We had to kick off our New Year with one of our favorite programs: the Sunday brunch performance. Come enjoy Indian food and mimosas followed by Indian classical dance! Featuring: Sonali Skandan and dancers (Bharatanatyam), Debanjali Biswas (Manipuri), Preethi Ramaprasad (Bharatanatyam), and Dancers from The Kathak Ensemble & Friends : Tara Chowdhury, Sandhya Menon, Sowmya Viswanath (Kathak) Sunday, February 5th ~ 12:15PM (performances start around 12:40) Tickets ~ $20 presale, $25 at the door (includes food and drink) www.navatman.org/tickets

Kalari Payattu Workshops ~ Saturday, February 18th and Sunday, February 19th Pradhuman Nayak joins us to teach kalaripayattu workshops -- the first weekend session is this Saturday/Sunday. Kalaripayattu Kalari payattu includes strikes, kicks, grappling, preset forms, weaponry and healing methods. Navatman Dance Workshop ~ Saturday, February 18th Navatman Dance brings a small bharatanatyam workshop to raise funds for their June show! Come learn some technique and a small routine from one of their choreographies.
