Are you a strong Indian classical musician or dancer? Navatman is auditioning artists for its acclaimed dance and musical theater Mahabharata production.

How to audition:
To audition, applicants must submit a 2 minute clip of yourself dancing or singing on the google form sheet below. Along with the clip, please submit the following information on the form:
The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2020. We will be conducting auditions in the first quarter of 2021 and we'll notify you when the dates are confirmed.
Requirements:
- Strong technical training in the classical style you are applying for
- Training hours should be minimum 3,000 hours over the course of study at the time of application for adults and 500 for kids
- Strong abhinaya work required
- Theater and spoken word training a plus but not necessary
- A positive, energetic attitude towards new challenges
- Works extremely well in a team oriented environment
- Multiple styles of training preferred but not necessary (particularly music and dance)
Time Commitment:
- Classes with Navatman once a week is continued through performance, separate from rehearsal hours for creating group dynamic
- Rehearsal hours take up primarily full weekends in Sept/Oct leading up to the show and and some weekday evenings or mornings as per individual schedules
- The weekdays prior to a show rehearsal begins at 6pm each day and are mandatory
- Training and scene setting begins in April once a week and revs up come September
Other notes
- Artists are compensated commensurate on experience and time given
- Roles are non negotiable once set and can change at will as per the artistic directors preference

- Dance bio (length of time spent learning, teachers, significant performances)
- Why you want to join the Mahabharata Cast and what you feel your style and technique may offer to the group
