Still a challenging class, this one is great for all students of all levels as it hunkers down on technique and injury prevention. If you want to be a great dancer, don't skip this one even if you have been learning for years.

I don't really remember adavus but learned for a long time
Take: Adavu Refresher Trial class OR Adavus 1
We will cover basic slokams, build and learn adavus and build stamina/strength/flexibility at a slower pace. You will still cover smaller items here so will still challenge you even if you have learned adavus in a prior setting.

I remember flat tatkaar, heel tatkaar, and chakkars of 8, 5, 3, 1:
Take: Kathak Refresher Course or Tukdas in Teentaal/Parans and Tihais
Kathak Refresher Course is a short stint to revitalize your knowledge of kathak before sending you into the class that will continue our coursework.
Tukdas in Teental:
Learn short, medium, long baants, footwork, parans, tihais, tukdas in Teentaal and occasionally other taals. Great once you have your chakkars and tatkaar down, will introduce you to various short compositions in kathak.
Parans and Tihais:
Taal will get more complex at this level and speed will get very high. Only good if you are deeply comfortable with footwork and chakkars and already have an apt sense of getting choreography quickly.

**For vocals, the students will come in person, and is supervised by an adult assistant teacher, but the main teacher, our head of department - will be online.
